Rochelle A. Oldfield
Rochelle, Family Law Attorney, was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. In 1995, newlyweds Rochelle and her husband moved to Denver, Colorado where Rochelle attended undergraduate school at the University of Denver.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with degrees in International Studies, Russian and Economics, Rochelle and her husband moved to Aiken, South Carolina where Rochelle began her studies at the University of South Carolina Law School.
While at USC Law, Rochelle served as Editor of the Journal of Law and Education and interned with the Navy Judge Advocate General at Fort Jackson before graduating with her Doctorate of Jurisprudence.
After passing the bar exam, Rochelle began her legal career as an Assistant Solicitor in Aiken, South Carolina. Although Rochelle prosecuted all types of cases, she began to specialize in cases involving child abuse and domestic violence.
In the fall of 2009, Rochelle and her family moved back to the Pacific Northwest, passed her second bar exam in Washington State, and continued her career as a prosecuting attorney. But only a year and a half later, in the spring of 2011, Rochelle, her husband, and now two sons, would make Knoxville their forever home (and take, yet another, bar exam).
Wanting to continue her work in the area of child abuse, Rochelle went to work as an attorney for the Department of Children’s Services (DCS) where she worked for 5 years and became a Certified Child Welfare Specialist; a certification she maintains to this day.
In September 2019, Rochelle left DCS and opened her own firm with a desire to improve the representation of families involved in litigation, especially litigation involving dependency and neglect. Her experience in DCS and in court rooms has given her a wealth of knowledge and a powerful reputation.
Outside of the law, Rochelle has a passion for health and fitness and has competed in triathlons, fitness competitions, and powerlifting. Although she gave hockey her best shot in college, she now leaves that to her husband and 2 sons.
Rochelle and her husband Kraig have two boys, Nikolai, and Tanner. Her family has been very involved in the Knoxville Amateur Hockey Association and both of her sons play competitively with the Knoxville Jr. Ice Bears.
